All of the Cups |

Ninja and Me |
GABBY - I woke up in a right state to the sound of a burly man
talking to me from the foot of my bed. I
was on the top bunk and had apparently slept surrounded by all of the plastic
cups we collected. Last night we decided
to keep all of our large, plastic cups in order to play beer pong at a later
date in Addo. Talk about planning ahead! Anyway, he seemed to be shouting at me saying
how impressed he was that I could drink so much beer. I should have given him the finger, but I’m
pretty sure he got the picture without the gesture and left me alone. The four of us begrudgingly got out of bed
and got into the car to make the hour-long trek home. Ben and Kait stopped at Steers (fast food
joint) to get an ice cream in the a.m., but the last thing on my mind was
food. I slept on Ben for the majority of
the drive until we pulled into the unpaved driveway of the Orange Elephant
Backpackers. We walked in and John
immediately called us out on our hangovers.
We relived our night by telling John and Cheryl our many drunken
stories. Cheryl then instructed all of
us to get some sleep because we must have looked like death. Ben and I slept for awhile. We awoke to news from the US of Hurricane
Sandy and the Frankenstorm. We watched
CNN in the living room and contacted our family and friends hoping that they
would all be safe and remain dry. Our
incredibly lazy day ended with a delicious meal made by the Alldermans and
passing out at an absurdly early hour.
Yea, we were absolutely useless and utter wastes of space today. Sorry, moms.
